WOW!!!! A BETTER DAY!!!!

I am proud to say that our little princess had a much better day today. She was alert more today. She sat up in the bed and actually requested real food. First she asked for some gatorade. Then she asked for chocolate ice cream, chicken strips, green beans, cocoa krispies, and cream style corn. Of course she really didn't eat much but 4-5 spoons of ice cream. It was still awesome for her to ask for food especially since she hasn't eaten real food since Friday morning. We our so PROUD of how strong she is. She has been communicating with us all day. We can't really hear what she is saying because she has that mask on so we keep asking her what did you say and keep guessing stuff. ( This really frustrates her) Her grandfather came up with the brilliant idea of putting the stethiscope up to her mask or cheek. This helps some! I hope we all learn that we should all go that extra mile in life each and every day like Josie is doing. Please pray for our family. There has been about 9-11 people in this 1 hospital room since Friday!!! From parents to grandparents with aunts too. Everyone has gotten interupted sleep and there has been some emotional times as well. I want to also thank our family because everyone has helped in many, many ways to try to accomodate Josie and wash our clothes and take care of Jordan and stuff...........And A SPECIAL THANKS TO JEANIE AND DARREN(our extended family) for helping out so much!!!!!!!! God bless you!!!!!!!!!

  7. Hi guys,
WOW!!! I just got to work and i checked the blog to see her sitting there and this amazing update. it took me back to when she was blogging about what she ate after transplant. Nigel said saturday he remembers when they would be at mr kenneth and ms pams and would play. The kids send their prayers and said to tell you they will continue to pray for you all. Also, our youth group at Holly Grove continues to lift you all up in prayer. Chris do me a favor and give Heather a hug for me and you both know that you are so loved and we can not express how much it means to us for you to be transparent in such a time as this and allow us to be updated on Josie. We love you all!

  11. Josie has always been full of surprises and a strong young fighter. She's amazing and God is amazing. We are all continuing to pray for her and that God's will be done. We're also praying for each and every one of her wonderful supportive family. We're praying for strength for all of you. We know this has been a rough roller coaster ride for all of you. Please let Bill and I know if there is anything at all that we can do here or there. We love you all.

  12. I am so glad to hear that she is doing better. God is amazing and an extra blessing because of this is that our mid-high students have been praying for her continuously and have been asking about her all the time and I have refered them to here. It is awesome to see the faith united in so many people. Know that my prayers are with you all and we miss seeing all of you especially Josie! May today be another blessed day.

  14. Josie and my son Chase Millner went to Brighton Elm. together. Josie has been in our prayers. I can remember when I first met her at an awards ceromony in the 3rd grade. I didn't think I could ever be inspired by anyone as I was of her that day. Well let me tell you guys that your little angel continues to be an inspiration to us all.

  15. We found your site through Shelby and wanted to let you know you are all in our prayers. Our daughter, Christena had a double lung transplant at SLCH in June of 2005. When we were reading your site, she told me to tell you that it might help to get Josie a dry erase board to make it easier for her to communicate with you. Hope that helps some.
Praying that each day brings more improvements.
